Students to participate in health survey
PUSD students will be asked to be a part of the California Department of Education's Healthy Kids Survey (HKS). This survey will be administered to all students at Ridgeview High during in the fall of 2015. This is a very important survey that will help us promote better health and safety among our youth, combat problems such as drug abuse and violence, and gather information to identify needs for grant proposals. The survey asks questions about health-related behaviors, experiences, and attitudes. It also asks questions about use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs; bullying and school safety; and environmental and individual strengths.
Participation is voluntary, confidential and anonymous. If you do not want your child to participate, you must notify the school and complete a Withdrawal Form at least a week before the survey is administered. You can examine the survey by clicking on this link HKS Survey or at the front office.
We will provide a safe, enriched, student-centered learning environment where each student can:
Realize his/her academic, creative and personal potential;
Develop his/her individual talents and abilities;
Develop strong decision-making, problem-solving and reasoning skills;
Develop respect for self and others; and
Become an involved, responsible citizen.
|Our goal for our students is that they graduate with a strong set of academic, citizenship and interpersonal skills so they can enter the college or occupation of their choice as self-sufficient adults.
